How ordering works
McMaster keeps every part in a warehouse. We do not. We go to the maker, which is why we can also get you the version that is not in any catalog.
Three kinds of request
| Request | What happens |
|---|---|
| Buy as listed | The part has a sourced public price. Add it with a quantity; Maglev confirms stock and lead time with the maker or distributor and sends one invoice. |
| Get a price | No public price we can stand behind. Maglev asks the maker directly and returns a real number with its MOQ and lead time. |
| Custom version | A different winding, shaft, connector, firmware, enclosure, private label, or a price at volume. Maglev takes it to the factory that makes the part, or one that makes the equivalent. |
One price
We quote you one price for the build, fixed before you commit. Every number you pay is on that quote.
Where the data comes from
Every part lists its sources, the date each price was seen, and a confidence label. VERIFIED means the maker's own documents. REPORTED means a credible third party. UNVERIFIED means one weak source. Anything we could not confirm says unknown rather than a plausible guess.
Country of origin shows a solid chip when a source states where the part is made, and a dashed chip when we only know where the maker is based.
